Specialized Concrete Work for a Critical Training Facility

SCC of Iowa is proud to have played a key role in the construction of the new Marion Fire Practice Facility, a vital training center designed to prepare first responders for real-world emergencies. This project required high-performance concrete capable of withstanding extreme heat and water exposure, ensuring long-term durability for firefighter training.

Project Scope & Highlights

Five Different Concrete Floors – Poured using specialized concrete mix designed for high-stress conditions.
All Floors Pumped – Due to site constraints and precision needs, the entire pour was completed using pumped concrete over a three-day period.
Built for Real-World Training – These floors will endure intense heat, heavy water exposure, and rigorous firefighter training exercises.
